Dr. Okuwobi is a board certified Family Physician who hails from Nigeria
and earned his medical degree at the Lagos university teaching Hospital,
Nigeria in 1990.
Dr. Okuwobi then went on to complete a year of internship
at the same university hospital before moving to the United Kingdom where
he embarked on his postgraduate training. He trained in General surgery and
Orthopedics whilst in the United Kingdom and obtained the first part of the
Fellowship of the Royal college of Surgeons.
He practiced in the United  Kingdom for a period of seven years and then decided
to obtain further training in Family Practice in the United States.
He completed his residency  program at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Bronx New York from 1998-2001.
He served as Chief Resident in the third year of his residency. After completionof his residency,
Dr Okuwobi Joined the
Faculty at The Morehouse School of Medicine, Family Medicine Department from July 2001. He started as a Clinical
instructor and rose to become Assistant Professor and Director of the Predoctoral Training Program in the Department.
His duties as Faculty involved training of Medical students and development for their educational  experience. He also
trained Residents and ran his Clinical Practice at various  Clinic sites of the institution. This Clinic sites included the Grady
East point Health Center and the Morehouse Comprehensive Family Health center.
Dr.  Okuwobi managed a successful
Clinical practice for 5 years with Morehouse school of Medicine.  He currently is the President and Clinical director of
Milestone Family Medicine in Decatur Georgia.
